GHIRINGHELLI Ghiringhelli's new A80 line

The company Rettificatrici Ghiringhelli S.p.A., an Italian family-run company headquartered in Luino (VA) and world leader in the manufacturing of centerless grinding machines at very high level of accuracy and quality, celebrates in 2021 the centenary of the foundation of the company. On the occasion of such important anniversary, it is presenting its world premiere at the next international EMO exhibition in Milan the new line of centerless grinding machines called A80 (Anniversary80). The new A80 will expand the range of the Ghiringhelli’s solutions. It will represent in fact the smallest machine manufactured by the company suitable for the fixed centre (FC) grinding on very small components.
The new A80 can grind pieces from Ø 0,1 mm up to Ø 15 mm, and lengths up to 80 mm, in plunge grinding cycle or in throughfeed grinding cycle. It is a very flexible centerless grinder, modularly designed for a quick set-ut specific for small batches. It is provided with 6 CNC axes and a mineral casting frame in natural granite 100% recyclable, granting very good mass / rigidity ratio, excellent material absorption, heat inertia and perfect ecological balance
The grinding wheel head has wheels Ø 200 mm x L 80 mm at a peripheral speed up to 50 m/s (63 m/s optional), power up to 4kW. Optional wheel balancing unit on the grinding wheel mount. The control wheel head, which can be tilted +/- 5°, has wheels Ø 100 mm x L 80 mm. The wheels’ dressing, by diamond disk or diamond tool, is controlled by CNC with orthogonal dressing units. The CNC includes a Siemens 840D SL and all software functions, including automation, are integrated through the exclusive Ghiringhelli-owned HMI interface. The new A80 in fact finds its application in the grinding of very small components of such fields like watchmaking, micromechanics, medical, the electronics.
